April Lockhart
April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th of July, started taking guitar and piano lessons at seven years old. She was interested in creating songs was sparked. At the age of 12 April composed her first single Different. When she was 14 April was a big devotee of her time to creating and playing with songs. The songwriting began along with her dad and her dad in NY and LA shortly after. April also included additional topics in her hit song"Take my Hand. These topics were meant for the friends of hers who struggled with issues such as peer pressure disabilities or even teen suicidal ideas. Lockhart is an influencer in the beauty and lifestyle industry with a growing number of followers. She is a partner with the popular brand Ilia in partnership, and is also a specialist in lifestyle. Born without a left hand, Lockhart is a major part of herself. It's however not the entire tale. The account on Instagram of Lockhart doesn't deny the fact that she has a disability. However, it doesn't make it a point to emphasize the issue. It's a reminder. The message? We each contain multitudes, that our identity and physical bodies aren't what they appear. Lockhart has stated on video that she doesn't wish to be defined by her disability. She does not want to become an advocate for disabled people who only speaks about it. There are a variety of aspects to Lockhart. The issue doesn't affect my everyday routine. I carry on the same way as I always do and have found my own methods to adjust. But it's also a part of me and I feel it's important to talk about. Her journey to self-acceptance is one that will last a lifetime, but she has been a source of inspiration for this purpose. However, she acknowledges going through phases with her body, at times, feeling insecure to wear specific types of clothes which showed off her arms. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she wants. and she shares her photos on social media. Self-love, she says is a journey. It's not clear whether you'll get to the final stage. It's the same for everybody regardless of their insecurity. I think that having people with you who are aware of you and know the depths of your soul is vital since they'll be those who will remind you what you worried about?
