Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej currently Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian to be awarded a score of 10 in the Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi was an Romanian gymnastics instructor, who later became Comaneci's coach, first discovered Comaneci at the age of six. Her first competitive event was The National Junior Championships in where she placed 13th in 1969. In the year 1970, she took home the title. She took home three golds at her first competition, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972, which was a the communist bloc nations. In 1973 and 1974 she won the junior champion in all-round competitions. At her first competition as a senior in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva who was a five-time European champion, winning 4 gold and one silver medal. The first female to do the reverse double salo of the parallel bar that was uneven after winning the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She started her career as an entertainment professional in her teens performing as a figure skating duo with their sister Nina Wayne for the travelling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol began her career in the world of entertainment in her teens. In her early years, Carol began as a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. Ice Capades was a show that featured skaters ice skating performed by actors.
