Julia Fiona Roberts, born 28th October 1967 at Atlanta with Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. She belongs to the fourth generation of Robertses who live in the Atlanta area beginning with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Her father had his first steps towards stage. When he was studying at Emory University, he performed on stage in various productions around Atlanta. While stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi, he got cast as a soldier in a play with Betty Lou Bredemus. They got married in the year 1955, and their first son Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter and his wife left the military in the year 1957 after which they began enrolment with Walter at Tulane University. The family relocated in 1960 to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working with Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter and Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning show on local TV specifically for children that was titled Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. The show was a success and they were paid. They founded an Actors and Writers Workshop in the year 1964, and it took six years to complete. In 1965, they welcomed two children to the family: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
